Time outs are for couples who are engaged in arguments that are not progressing toward a resolution AND the individuals are so angry he/she can no longer communicate effectively or appreciate the partner’s point of view.

Important Notice: This presentation is  not intended for individuals who have experienced a serious offense, such as infidelity or domestic violence. These behaviors should be addressed with a couple therapist.
